so the other day my screamo band played a mini gig to help out one of our friends in a TV production class, here are some pics, and the audio should be up soon. srry for all the blurryness, i think it's an emo thing, but since i ain't emo, i just don't get it

i played on the schools orange premier set with a red groover pro percussion snare assorted cymbals and stands, and i tryed out the IC double pedal instead of my pearls, and it was great, untill something messed up with the slave beater, fortunatly i didn't need double bass for the song it broke on. but it was fun, and i did knock a cymbal stand off the drum platform onto our screamer. music should be up soon

yea, it was fun, unfortunatly it was so little room, so the 10 ppl who came couldn't mosh, and thats too bad, because we showed one song that is so hardcore it needs moshing

Moshing is dUh Suckk. + it's dangerous. And it looks silly.

EDIT: This one gig we played, 'bout 6 onths ago, there was some knobheads who started moshing, TO A BALLAD.

The songs in 6/4 and slooooow, and I see this mosh pit. Involving maybe half the audience(the audience wasn't huge, but still) and I just look at one of my guitarists and we go, almost at the smae time, WHAT THE FÚCK. But it in Swedish so we really went 'Va i helvete'.
Conclusion: mosh people = knobs

Sounds like a few of you got beat up in the pit...

Stop acting like little girls and have some fun. If the music is right for it, Moshing is fun as hell. I can do it for hours.

EDIT:

I wanted to add that I like the fact that you guys actually look like you're into the music you're playing. I can't stand it when people don't know how to put on a little bit of a show.

Stert, I don't know about that - I rarely see anybody Hardcore Dancing at my shows.

And when do... hehehehe, silly hardcore kids. Turns out when they are swinging their arms they aren't trying to fight, well --- guess us metal folk were raised differently.

One time I was just standing by the pit, and one of those idiots kicked me. That was just uncalled for, I took care of it though.

i was just be sarcastic. i like to mosh if the band is right, but i have heard from friends that went to see dashboard and people were moshing. dumb kids.

i say chiodos last month and there was thing "gang" or straight edge kids there. they were all wearing bandanas over their face. they were hardcore dancing. but they were really really good. i thought they were lame at first but then i was watching them and i was impressed.
i think its going to be like the new breakdancing for a different scene

Lol, those "gangs" have been around for a while. (at least from the Cleveland area). It's kind of funny, I saw them when we played a show with some grindcore/metalcore bands.

I like how they all play invisible ninja. I remember doing that kind of stuff when I was kid.

most people i talk to mosh when the song is crap and listen when its good....pisses me off either way..moshing is the second most useless thing you could ever do....next to convincing someone why travis barker or joey jordison are overrated

If you don't know the rules of the pit: don't mosh :p

I don't mosh, i'm just saying its stupid. If you enjoy it then great but its still stupid. I've never been 'beaten up' in a mosh, but then i've only been in a couple. Its more fun watching the band and bobbing your head/tapping your feet, and you don't get all sweaty as you do jumping around with a load of guys.

I skank when I am watching an awesome ska band. Now that is awesome. Haha hardcore dancing, isn't that like slamdancing or w.e? I call it karate moshing, and I laugh my *** off when I see loser edge kids with their bandana's doing it.

lol, I always forget I'm talking to 14 year old band wimps. :P

Anyway - If I was at a show and some jackass threw their floor tom into the crowd, you better believe I'd be on the stage beating the **** out of that punk. I get way too pumped up for some meathead to do something retarded like that and think he'll get away with it.

Pitting isn't about hurting the other people that are pitting, for the record. It's about having fun and releasing for a few hours.

well, it would kinda be fun, sortof. in a manner of speaking. how about i throw it into the center of the pit and instead of hitting some one, it hits the ground and someone trips over it

/smartass switch engage...lol jk

moshing is cool i guess, i've done it a few times but i'm not like OMG MOSHING CHANGED MY LIFE....if the music is right and everything then i have no problem with it. the f*ck is up with this "hardcore dancing" i never heard anything about that....sounds retarded though.
