yeah, the people there (or rather i should say person there) seem to be very.... nice,:lol: not to mention in the whole topic you only got the one guy to reply. Normally when people get in an argument here it's more fun cuz everybody sticks there noses in it. Internet forums rock, unless if your drummerworld.com's, or any other forum i've been except here

And check the thread now. The admin deleted thinshells replies, thinshell also deleted another of his own replies which was ' if I dug up the answer maybe this guy will leave forever' I'll probably get banned and the admin might delete the last replies but I've done screenshots in case. What a bunch of retards there.

Rudy was a piece of garbage anyway. You could tell that guy something like "You're wrong" and he would go insane and want to call the cops on you for flaming him... meanwhile he's a flamethrower and a half...
If memory serves the above is *especially* true if your name is Josiah, didn't Jos and him have a few run-ins? I can't really remember, it's been a while since that cat was around here.

Well look at the join dates of the admins... June 2005? Either they go through mods way too fast, or it's a new forum. Either way it points to a crappy forum. New forums tend to be flamefests (which I would have thought you'd enjoy Rudy :amaze:), and if a forum can't hold on to mods... what does that say? What regular member is going to stick around if even the mods don't want to :p.

Well, surprise surprise, rudy gets banned from drummerworld on his first thread ever!:lol:
For those who don't know, to sum up, some posts by a member called thinshells have now been deleted, but this is what happened.
Rudy posts a polite thread asking about a cymbal ( a cymbal I actually want to buy), starting with a 'Hello all' , a 'great stuff bernhard' in the middle, and ending with a 'thanks =)' Really, could I have been any nicer than that?? I don't think so.
Rudy then wonders why after a whole day in a forum dedicated to just cymbals there haven't been any replies, so he bumps it.
Thinshells posts a very patronising/sarcastic reply me, telling me if I'd simply gone to zildjian.com I would have found out, but that he's 'done the work for me' because 'he was bored and it's all simple stuff ' by linking me to the same zildjian.com profile I'd already been to.
So I've been polite, and now I change. I tell him in an equally patronising/sarcastic way that he'd not read my post properly since I'd already mentioned the 2 ride cymbals at zildjian.com and that I don't think it's them.
Thereafter, all hell breaks loose because everyone supports thinshells and think that I'M the troublemaker when all I expected was common courtesy. What a bunch of plebs.

Lol no, it's just that I already asked about a cymbal on cymbalholics.com and I already asked about cymbals on here, so instead of people thinking ' wtf, he's posting another thread about cymbals' I thought I'd try them out. But I was already at drummerworld checking out the clinic section ( which is fantastic btw) and came across jimmy branlys recording, so I figured they'd be a good place to ask. I was wrong!
I thought it was a perfectly fine question to ask about a cymbal on a cymbal forum. With a bit of research? Me registering there and asking them was, as far as I'm concerned, research. I find a lot of stuff on the net by myself, but this time, I couldn't find anything on this cymbal except jimmy branlys current 2 rides which I don't think he uses in his audio clip. I'll certainly join zildjians site and ask them a question ( which Thinshells actually DIDN'T point out to me as he says he did), but asking at a forum first 'could' have given me a faster answer. To quote a paragraph I emailed to the admin :D "Well great! I'll just join a cymbal forum and make sure I don't ask any questions because it's so simple to find things elsewhere, noone in fact needs a cymbal forum to ask any questions! But of course if that guy Thinshells knows, then we should all know automatically!" You know what I mean? Isn't that the whole point of a forum dedicated to cymbals, to ask questions?

Yeah, 'round here our mods aren't afraid to say things like "let it sing!" or "you need the swirling overtones" or things along the lines of "bobby boucher, cranked drums are the DEVIL!"... instead of "listen smartass, he's got more posts, he's better than you. now fall in line or we'll ban you."... imagine if they had the rep system MX has... they would be even more elitist.

Yamaha's very popular in California.. as is music. Other then that, I haven't a clue what you guys are talking about. One of my students clued me on this forum as he knows i love to talk shop. I'm not a homosexual though, and I'd rather leave the sex talk to the appropriate places for it. EG: Not here.

I'm on vacation at the moment however, and I already told another guy in another thread I'd get a clip of a snare or two up for him.
