Hello peoples.
I really need your help with something. I have a music assessment comming up and my friends and I want to preform a symphonic metal song for it. We know of heaps of songs we could preform but we cant choose one. At the moment we have a female singer who's voice sounds like a softer, higher pitched version of Tarja Turunen from Nightwish, a guitarist, a bassist, a drummer, a keyboardist, and two Violinists. If anyone can think of any songs we'd be able to preform I'd really appriciate it. :)
Thanks.
Claire...

Hmm you should tell us what those songs are you can't decide on. It looks like you have a pretty good band.

I suggest symphony X, any song by them, as long as your handle it because most of their songs are very complex.

There too manys songs we couldn't decide on, but some of them were Angels by Within Temptation, Mother Earth also by Within Temptation, Ghost Love Score by Nightwish, some other songs by Nightwish, Tristania, Sirenia, and After Forever, and some songs we wrote our selves. But most of the songs we wrote aren't finished and they have a part for a harpist and i'm the only one i know of that can play harp, but i dont like playing and singing at the same time because i have to sit down when playing the harp and its hard to sing properly when sitting down and concentrate on doing both (I'd go off key heaps).

Mother Earth or Ghost love Score sound good... maybe Ever Dream or She is my Sin by NW.

i would recommend The Watchtower by Cult Of Luna but i beleive there is only one violin in just that song and no keyboard also i doubt your singer will be able to sing it, its really deep death metal singing by a male singer. Sorry i cant help but i will keep thinking :(

Maybe check out some Epica aswell, I cant think of anything to recommend from them but they're that kind of symphonic thing.
Though they have a male screamer as well as the female singer, it works pretty well.
