sabian 21" hand hammered raw bell dry ride.
awesome sound (IMHO). excellent ping, not too much annoying sustain. and the bell is just perfect; perfect tone, good volume, and big!
massmusic.net has em for $217 USD.
they usually go for $290 at guitar center and pretty much everywhere else.

And if you pay attention you'll notice he doesn't *have* that much to spend.

gah, I'm exhausted tonight. I saw the 250 and 300 and, in typical ignorant american style, assumed he was speaking in USD.....even though the very next word(s) kinda sorta explain otherwise.
forgive me.

Thats about 50 sing. dollars more than he can afford. Not to mention shipping.
There are some nice Istanbul Agop rides for around 160-180 USD. Right in your price range.

You would be able to afford pretty much any A Zildjian, A Custom, AA, or AAX just fine, and with that in mind I would recommend looking into 22" A Ping rides, 21" A Sweet rides, 21" AA Dry ride, etc. For something more versatile you could look into a medium weight ride in pretty much any of those lines.

Well(sigh), you used to be able to get them through cymbalsonly.com, now you have to get them through Superstitionpercussion.com, which I've never liked, since the firs time I visited the site.
But, now cymbalsonly is selling Istanbul Mehmets, which are a teeny bit more mainstream-sounding(Zildjian, Sabian) than Istanbul Agops.
