Dawn of Azazel are a New Zealand metal band I have recently been getting into. They have garnered alot of attention lately in the media because of vocalist and bassist Rigel Walshe and his job as a police constable. You can read more about this here (http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/0,2106,3485070a11,00.html) in this poorly written news article. They recently released a new album, Sedition and have recently been touring europe promoting the new album. If you like extreme/thrash metal I recomend you take a listen.

I saw the article on the news last night. The presenter had such a negative tone, it really made the genre look bad. The reason death/trash metal gets this such a hard time about satanism etc. is because the only view the public are given is form uninformed idiots who know nothing about extreme metal. Basterds

It's quite funny reading that article in my first post, the title is "Skinhead cop fronts satanic death metal band". I just find it funny how bad the media get things wrong.
Hells Bells: Thanks for the link.
