how can i make room for my double pedal? it seems that if i wanna put it next to my hi hat pedal, the leg from the hi hat stand blocks it. if i move it in, it's too far under the snare to play...

What hat stand do you have? I dealt with the problem by sawing that pesky hat stand leg off, but the stand became very unstable so I had to clamp it to another stand.

Here's a bright idea. Move your hihat stand over... or better yet, swivel the legs on it if at all possible.

Grab a nice, well constructed, 2 leg hi-hat stand. Until you can do/afford that, see if you can loosen up the small hex nut that prevents the 3 legs from rotating.

If there is no way of rotating those legs, I wouldn't really chop off a leg. Sell that badboy for a few dollars and put it toward a nice 2-leg stand!

Worse come to worse he could always angle the hat stand... I mean it's not like the footboard has to be angled perfectly to fit his foot, as long as he can put the ball of his foot on it, it's fine...

Try the pearl H-820 hi hat stand.... you can swivel the legs around to fit in the pedal... I have one.... and its not really expensive either... it does the job

you can usually remove the screw that holds the legs in place, so that you can rotate them just enough to move it close to your dbl bass pedal.
