is there any love for behemoth?

i was looking at the threads and i saw no behemoth threads!!! i was amazed. they are one of the biggest influences in my band "asmodeus" along with nile, cradle of filth, burzum, lamb of god,dimmu borgir, etc. their guitar lines in my opinion are brutal as hell but at the same time have a very melodic feel to them and i like how their leads fit in with their rythim. no to mention their drumming is insane. the double bass is amazing to me. what do u guys think of behemoth? what is ur favorite album, song? do u not even like them?

Alot of behmoth is usually mentioned in the 'death metal thread'. But this band should well have its own thread, they are aswell an influence for me. Ive heard two albums Demigod and Zos Kia Cultus. Demigod is my favorite but i have to say Heru Ra Ha: Let There Be Might off of Zos Kia Cultus is my favorite song

one of the heaviest and greatest bands i discovered lately. Demigod got one of my favourites albums recently and they are coming from Gdanks(Poland) where i was on holiday this summer (and i am born in poland :D)

Thelema.6 is one of the weirdest death metal albums I've ever heard. Highly experimental.

Never listened to a lot of them. I have heard some stuff off satanica, and thought it was pretty good. Muscian wise, their amazing. since they were black metal on earlier stuff they are really sort of "blackend" now (not to make another genre) but they are still death metal.

No. Have you heard Grom? Zos Kia Kultus and Demigod are the two best. They were a mediocre black metla band but are a phenomenal death metal band. Thelema.6 is pretty solid too.

Yes it is. I really want to listen more of their black stuff although i have listened people saying its not too good. They are amazing playing death though, IMO their best cd is Zos Kvia Kvltvs.

I've heard all of their albums. I think they're better death, but their black was really good. I'd say ZKC and Satanica are the worst, though I still like both a hell of a lot.

I think they were damn good as a black metal band, specifically Sventevith.

The layering on the intro to Slaves Shall Serve is just rediculous. Since I go to a primarily black school, I freak the kids at my lunch table out with it every once in a while. They really don't guess from just looking at me either.

I have every LP and EP released by Behemoth, and I listen to them all. They're pretty brilliant, I like their sound styles. The layered vocals are killer, and the drums are awesomeness.

Thelema 6 and Demigod are my favorites I think.

The first review on this site for Demigod was the reason I got into Behemoth, I got Demigod and its great. Im actually looking forward to seeing them at the Sounds of the Underground tour this year. I laugh every once in a while at the singer's voice though...

Off Demigod they will probably play Slaves Shall Serve and Sculpting The Throne Ov Seth, and depending on the set length, Demigod and Conquer All. They played all four when I saw them, but they played for over an hour then, and I don't know if they will get that much on a tour with heaps of other bands.
