This is a sample of Flea playing in RHCP on the Fortune Faded single.

I've cut it up into two parts, firstly the "riff" section, and secondly a bass solo and the end.

The bass sounds really... natural and woody at the end. It feels alive, almost like I could touch the sound, you know?

So I was wondering...

I'm guessing he's playing the Flea Bass... but have you heard any tone like this on any bass ever? I just love it. Soo good.

P.S. Anyone got any clips of a solo Stingray/Sterling playing? Fingerstyle? Thanks.

here you go man, http://www.poppyto.net/ click on the ones with flea, you get a tab and the option to watch someone playing it. To get to the flea ones go to "basse" then "avance"
