The band I auditioned for like 2 months ago didn't take me as the drummer... Instead they took this other kid whose favorite music is... HARDCORE, its gay too because the have a heavy Dave Mathews influence. I must admit that kid used to be in my school and he is good, very good. It still sucks that he got and I didn't.

Yeah but thats the pit and I always make stupid threads there. My intellegence is less then halfed in the pit
Edit: Not so much stupid threads, but stupid comments
For an example here look at the idiocy thread, those are comments I'd normally make in the pit

Oh... I just looked at it again and just to let you know for future reference, a tipped pass isn't a fumble, even if it is behind the line. If it goes forward at any point, it's a pass.

But a pass backwards it a fumble if it his the ground.

Maybe not, I'm in new york where all the rock is screamo/hardcore and the main music is rap/hiphop. I was lucky to find a band like that, hopefully I can rig up some other half decent musicians. Thanks for being postive though:thumb:

Ive been through several auditions, when ya are chose for one its pretty awesome, escpecially when its a national deal with hundreds of pro-drummers auditioning.

Nah, didn't wanna make anyone feel bad. There are tons of ways to get auditions for national bands. If you feel your ready then you should get to work in some studios. Once ya get some recording and experience under your belt, let the executives at the studios know that you are interested in looking for a band. They can put you in touch with the people who can set you up for these auditions.

Most people don't realize that the majority of touring bands today were put together through auditions from management companies, labels, and other agencies.

I didn't percieve the band as being mature. It seems to me they are a band on the right track. The held auditions, and picked the player that fit the band best. Ya win some, ya lose some. You had the balls to get out there and lay it on the line, alot of people wouldn't have done that.

Make your own band dude.... , even if its a band wich doesn't do gigs and such.
Making music with other people is always fun and it helps you to develop your feeling of time

I'm just said that he likes hardcore because the band is nothing like that so its unfair that he got in despite his not liking the music. He did deserve it though because he is a great drummer

Thats the attitude to have man. Trust me, I have been in your shoes alot. There is nothing wrong with not being selected, you went to the audition, gave it your all. Now look for another opportunity, or make your own opportunity.
