hey ive got my brothers yamaha acoustic at home..anyways ive been wanting to play it though one of the strings is snapped..though the problem is that the strings on the guitar are half nylon and half steel..so i just wanna replace the nylon strings with regular strings..they are called steel strings right? also the action on the guitar is way to high, can that be lowered on an acoustic? thanks

Yeah you can file the action down, but remember that you won't be able to increase the height after that so do it right the first time.

do u have much knowlege of a guitar?

chances are, the steel strings you are talking about are the bottom 3, which means that they are only wound with nickel or something. they have nylon inside them.

if you put steel strings on your nylon string guitar, you will majorly fcuk the thing up

/sorry to be the bringer of bad news

well i was gonna replace all the strings..what i was asking was what the regular strings are called..the ones on electrics? steel strings..except on an acoustic..not nylon but u know the regular ones..and also the whole changing action thingy..
