amp help

i was asked to play with a local college for a musical,..and i'm actually going to be paid pretty heavily (keep in mind i'm 16 yrs old )...with the money i'd like to buy a new amp, i'm geared towards head/cab sorta thing, i wanna stay away from combos,....i've been looking into some behringers,..and some ampegs,..

i have about...500-700 bucks to work with, if anyone could give me some sweet suggestions, i'd be very happy, thanks
