Hollowbodies are naturally supposed to have really bassy and warm tones, right?
Do semis lose any of the bass?
I've got a hollow and the thing could punch a hole in a wall, but it gets drowned out by the bass (that is, its own bassiness), regardless of my EQ settings. :(
EDIT: ARG. How did this get in the beginner forum?

I thought you meant semitones as in C to Db.

It's an Ibanez Artstar AF120.

Despite the what the link says, it's a full hollowbody without soundblock or anything. Feedback, rosewood bridge, etc.
The thing is, I'm thinking about trading it for an AF105, which is basically a newer rendition of my guitar-

Or perhaps an Epiphone Lucille. That's why I'm asking about what differs, tonally, between Semis and Hollowbodies.
