I was a Emperor listener in my yester-years, and stumbled across Ihsahn's newer project, Peccatum, about a year ago. Ihsahn is just a crazy musical guy, and Peccatum shows another side of him, along with his wife Ihriel on vocals.

So, how many of you have heard of them? Any admirers?

I only know a couple of songs, but they're pretty good. I keep meaning to buy an album.

DO SO!!

I love Ihriel's voice, and it wasn't what I expected, which was another Emperor-esque album.

Good stuff. In Reverie is great and Amor Fati is also pretty good.

I got the first Peccatum album. Absolute crap! Is the newer stuff any better.

I saw them supporting Emperor and they were even worse live. I don't know how he managed to marry and live with that woman if she sounds like that when singing in the shower!

I heard of them but I have never heard them. What kind of music are they?

If I was banging Ihriel every night, I'd endure her shower singing.

She doesn't sound bad on the newer albums, I heard one song though and her vocals were terrible on it.

Ha, Lord Pz looks highly gay in that picture.

I have "Reverie" and I dislike it a bit. It's too quiet and ambient, and I don't like Ihreal's singing. The only parts I like are when a black metal riff comes in with Isahn singing and it sounds like Emperor again.

I had downloaded the "Reverie" cd a while ago, and I actually really like it. It's so unique and varied, a little bit of everything, haunting, soothing, angry, it has it all. I have to say though, Ihrie'ls voice is pretty annoying. But Ihsahns compositions and screaming make up for it.:thumb:

I like the clip of the Moribund People music video. I'll have to look more into that cd. I havent heard the other stuff though.

I only have Lost in Reverie and I think that's the only material by them I need, their other stuff is really bad in my opinion. Lost In Reverie is a masterpiece.

Listen to Desolate After Ever with all the lights shut. First time I did that, it was the scariest thing ever.
