Oh definitely, I've got one, you'll eventually want to change out the pickups, but otherwise they are pretty good. But it also depends on what you think of it, go out and play one at a guitar store.

yep they're fairly cheap. i've seen alot of those fingerstyle guitarist use semi hollow bodies just for that nice jingly noise.

standards have crappy wiring/noisy pickups. but the customs are sweet. if you can afford the custom, get it.

i say if you want a high quality epi then get a sheraton or a casino. they are the only guitar that i think epiphone makes better than gibson because they made them before gibson bought them and they still have the nice beatlesque ton that is good for jazz and some rock stuff

ive got an epiphone LP studio which is quite good, its got the slighest fuzz with most off the strings but apart from that, its a great guitar

Anyone compare the Gibsons to Epiphone?
I mean, most of the time, it's a third of the price.
So, does the tone suffer?
The feel?
I've played and fell in love with Gibson LP customs, and I was wondering if i should save up for that or go for an Epi one.
i dont like buying "imitations"

i only ever buy imitations lol
the eip i played, it was nice. i use epi les pauls as the benchmark for the 350-400 range. they arent the best for the money, you CN get better. but you can also get worse

Have you tried the prs soapbar se. great guitars. should cover the styles your looking for and they are a change from the les paul.
