Playing HIGH or SOBER?

Im just wondering what the music community prefers... playing high or playing sober?

sober, i had a jam with my jam band completely blasted (5 gravity hits of some potent stuff) and we record all of our jams, at the time i thought i sounded amazing, later i realized not so much
