Ok. So, my sister sat on the trem arm and the high E broke.

I've restrung everything, and now i'm tuning it and stuff (no prob, i can handle it)

But on difference i've noticed. When i dive bomb, the strings stretch UPWARDS. Before, it would go down and the low E would stick to the pickups. What is happening?

I'm guessing that you restrung it with different gauge strings than what was originally on, causing the bridge to be at the wrong angle. You can either restring it again with the same size strings or adjust the springs at the back of your guitar.

If it's not that then I'm not sure what it could be. Does everything look normal?

Sounds like the strings. Make sure the bridge is level, and if everything is fine and dandy with the bridge and the nut and it still does that, change the strings again.

Well i think its the way the string is changed. When the prestige came from the factory from japan, the ball end was at the bridge, like normal guitars.

When restrung (i brought it to a shop), they did it the opposite way, the ball end at the tuners and the "sharp" end in the bridge. Is this why it happens?

Yep, the bridge is level and it is the standard gauge for all ibanez edge pros, .9s, d'addario XLs.

well take it back to the store and say they restrung it wrong

and isnt it normal for the strings to go upwards? mine have always gone upwards when i divebomb and the strigns go tight when u pull the bar up

the strings go upwards and slack and stick to the pickups because they lose tension as u press the whammy down

Yes they go upwards, slack and don't stick to the pickups..so that's kinda weird.

The only reason they restrung it wrong is coz this an edge pro, with floyd, that's a correct method to restring.

No its not

if u got a ibanez prestige u get a manual

if u read the restringing ur supposed to place the ball end into the Bridge for Edge pro because it gives u a better return to pitch and stabalizises the tuning so it stays in tune

On lower end ibanez like Edge 3 then u only put the string in without a ball end

i should kno i own both a Prestige and RG350EX
