 Hi There, I have the following question:

I understand how to make a pinch harmonic and I understand that it works best on the lower strings, usually, and I understand that it helps to have significant dist. What I want to know is does O/D help more than distortion, and does wah work well with pinch harmonics?
thanx

cheers :chug:

When "rocked forward", (with toe down) I find it much easier to get pinch harmonics with my wah pedal. When "rocked back" (with heel down) it's still possible, but not as easy as normal, and definately not as easy when rocked forward. "Rocked forward" makes it pinch harmonics easier than they should be, in my opinion. Of course, I have a vintage Thomas Organ wah, and those are infamous for their harshness on the high-end when forward, (even though they're "Oh so gorgeous" when in the "sweep" area of the wah.)

That's a very good question about OD/Distortion. I have hardly any idea. I would think that as long as your signal is disorted, it should significantly help you to do pinch harmonics, so it shouldn't really be that big of a deal whether you're using an overdrive or distortion. Though I could be way off of the mark.
