So i am in the market for my first electric, as are most on here... I like to play all kinds of music, but mainly, AC/DC, Classic Rock, Zepplin, stuff like that... I would love to play hendrix type music also, but its too advanced for me now...

My budget is stretched at 450 for the g-400 so that Agile fits into it better...

I picked up a Fender blues Jr. the other day and love it, just need an axe to play on it. (currently borrowing).

Here are my two choices I believe.

Epiphone (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/518291/)

or

Agile (http://www.rondomusic.net/valkyriehc.html)

Can we discuss?

I've heard very good things about Agile guitars, especially for their price. I was personally looking into the G 400, but ended up going with a "real" Gibson SG (I love the look of those guitars.) Both would probably be fine choices, especially for a first electric.

This site could help a bit:

You may also want to look into a (Mexican made) Fender Standard Fat Strat, as those things are increadibly versatile, and would fit your style very well. They're also a good deal for the price.

Also- buy used, like I've said at least 1000 times on this site: When you buy used, you can get a better product at a cheaper price. Ebay is the way to go, if you're into buying used.

i would go the agile, basically because i've heard more good things about them. never tried either of the guitars though, so my opinion could be redundant

I've heard bad things about Epiphone's quality control and such, assuming I wouldn't be able to try before I buy either one of these, would Agile be more likely to turn out better?

Also, how are the pickups comperable between these two?
