I recently recieved a stagg cymbal pack as an early xmas present. They're SH brilliant and cost $350 \au for Hats, Ride and Crash, cymbal bag and 3 free skins. I know they're kinda low/mid level. I think they sound great (not brilliant but pretty f*cking good for the price) but maybe I would have been better off with just one really good cymbal.

I just wanted some opinions on Stagg cymbals. Does anyone know anything about them. Has anyone even heard of them. They're "hand hammered" for what it's worth.

I also have a 10" splash of theirs ($40au) which i like a lot. They are a little thin sounding, especially the crash but it also gives a massive crash sound that's fairly earthy. I love the ride.

i tried a really big ride and a few of their splashes on clearance at GC. i loved the splash but the ride was just overkill on pingyness, i believe it was like 26"

I love Stagg. My whole set-up is Stagg. Good Stagg. Stagg for president. Stagg killed Hitler. Stagg walked on the moon before the astronauts.

But seriously.. they're great value for the price. Cheap as chips

Looks like there's some stagg fans out there. Good to see. I didn't think anyone would know them. Maybe I did make a decent choice

My ride's a 20" and although it resonates a lot, the sound is nice and mellow. I also have a student level paiste 20 " ride (i'll check the type later) but it sucks in comparison imo.

Flip your hats so that bottom is on top, they will sound like 100 time sbetter.

I dont mind the ride, the crash i cant stand, its like a trash crash.

I like the higher end stagg stuff, like myra, black metal etc...
