Is this a good deal?

Hey guys, im primarily a bassist and i do play guitar everynow and then..

i was thinking about buying a drum set to keep at my house for band practice and jamming purposes and i might wanna try and learn it my self (if id ever be coordinated enough..:lol: )

anyway my friend offered to sell me his pearl export 5 peice kit for $250 including a bass drum pedal and high hat stand.

or i could buy his Pacific FS 5 peice kit for $450 with the bass pedal and high hat stand.


what do you guys think? id still have to buy cymbals including a high-hat..
if you guys have any sudgestions on cymbals and stands please post

If you don't have much money for cymbals, you might try Wuhan. I don't own any, but everyone around here seems to speak highly of them.

It destroys that Export and puts it to shame, even more so considering it's the red satin and not the black. That's a great deal too if the kit is truely in mint condish so definitely, Buy Buy Buy! :thumb:

PDP is much better than Pearl. If you can afford it, go PdP

the FS definitely blows the export out of the water. they both seem to be ok deals though.

cause ive heard good things about zildjans.. but ive also heard that their lower end stuff is bad... is that true?
