I have been writing, writing and writing lately. Over the past few years I've been crafting songs and concepts for something, but what exactly wasn't clear. Now I can see what I want to do, and how I want to do it...but it's difficult. I do vocals and keys. I also use various percussion, drum machines and synth sounds to layer thick atmosphere. I have a really abstract and distinct way I envision the music I strive to create sounding, but I don't know how to achieve the sound. I own Sonar 4 PE and probably enough equipment to record stuff on my own, but I sincerely don't have the patience to learn how to work that program...and I've been trying unsuccessfully for weeks. So, I feel like I'm insane. Is there any "correct" way for someone in my position to make a productive move towards getting things done? I'm sure the answer is clear, but I can't help but ask where and the heck do I begin?
