edge--->straight edge, right?? i saw a live video by Bleeding Through a couple months ago, and i remember that they put an x on their hands, that's supposed to be the sign of straight edge band, right? Is Bleeding Through straight edge? Need some more info here.. thanks

NO some members are but they do not call themselves a straight edge band as some of them drink etc... if you go to www.hulud.com you can read about it in the faq

Well here's my opinion on straight edge:
It's pointless. If you don't wanna do drugs and drink or whatever, just don't do it. It's that simple. I've known kids who've gone edge and then wanted to try drugs and their edge friends disowned them for "breaking edge." That's autistic. You shouldn't have to vow to never do drugs and if you do them, you shouldn't lose friends over it. You want to not do drugs? Don't do them. You want to try them after a few years? Go for it. This way, you won't be verbally castrated by your friends for living your life the way you want.


And it's turned into a fashion statement now. A lot of people claim edge just to be cool.

Agreed. And kids are seemingly obsessed with being edge, showing off their X's like it's their life's work.

Everybody breaks in the end anyway.

Edge isnt bad, but there is a big fuss over "breaking edge". We have a couple of local edgers here, and they both broke edge the other day, and i think its funny because two months ago they were all "pro-edge" and now they get drunk like all the other scene kids here
