Comes out the 17th. However, yesterday I downloaded the pc demo. I'll be getting it for XBOX, but I figured that it would be pretty much the same except controller > keyboard. Anyway, this game is badass! Exactly what I want from a Need for Speed game! The demo came with a few quick race options like Spring and speed trap or something, but I've just been playing the two cop evade challenges. One is you have to be chased by the cops for a minute then evade, and the other is get through 6 roadblocks then evade. The 6 roadblocks was pretty hard but I just beat it. I like how you can hear the police radio chatter too. Running through a golf course with 10 cop cars behind you = priceless. :lol:

Nice, this game is perfect for XBL. Is there damage modeling now? The lack of it in past games kind of bogged it down, but they still owned.

This game is so fun just to run from the cops.. you can **** around so much. Like one time I had a cop right next to me and we were going against traffic and a big log truck was coming out, so I rammed him into it and he slammed into the rear wheels and got under it and the car was totalled. Sweet!

I'll wait for final to come out. I like the fact that they put lambos and ferraris and no just japanese import stuff. Cause I will love to kill a spooned civic with a murcielago. Plus police chases, damn, it'll kick *** once it comes out. This is like all NFS in one.

I passed all the way through.. I took a screenshot of me on the other side but the trailer was blocking most of the view so I didn't upload it. It feels so badass when you do it.. it's kinda hard though because usually you're going way faster then the big rig.

The ps2 demo I played on a couple of months back in the Official ps2 mag. It's good, but it's jst a bit laggy. They are trying to make the graphics the best they can but the ps2 can't cope with it. And jst for the Xbox, well, mm I dunno.
Most Wanted reminds me of Gone in 60 seconds with Nicholas Cage. Doesn't it? It's practically like it!! The enivronment is like it, the idea of chasing away from cops as well.
Christ it is ennoying sometimes with those cops after you. They block you in total badass and all the rest come piling on. Woah.
Edit: Ok realised 360 is already out in US.

You're right.. I mean the environment is totally like that! Most Wanted clearly ripped of Gone in 60 Seconds by using highways!
Anyway, the game is ****in awesome. The cop AI is so good.. they take shortcuts to catch up to you and now instead of you just chasing a cop without him ever doing anything like you did in the demo, they box you in like a rolling roadblock and then jam on their brakes. I barely played any of the career mode, I was just doing challenges because they're so fun. Besides Tollbooth, they have a bunch of others relating to pursuits. Stuff like run from the cops for x minutes, cause x amount of damage to the state, evade the police in under x minutes, damage x amount of cop cars etc etc.. and of course even if the challenge doesn't call for it, after you complete it you have to evade the cops to successfully beat it. I haven't gone on Live yet either, I'm gonna try and get at least a decent car before I do but I'm sure that's great as well.

No, there's only one PC version which is the equivalent of the XBOX Black Edition. For some reason there are two versions of the XBOX game though. Oh yea, and the sounds of the car engines is great!
I'm really glad that the car list is Eurocentric and that the "hero's car" is an M3 GTR!

You can free roam the city. I'm not sure yet if cops will start chasing you if you speed.. I think they will because the game says you should own a few cars so you can use one while the heat dies down on another. So I think as you build up notoriety the cops will notice you even if you're driving around town.

There are three "sections" to the city. The first section is unlocked from the start, then there are two other big sections that you unlock as you progress through the game.
I'm too busy just cruising around and starting huge chases when people call in to report me for reckless driving. :lol: I played a challenge where there was a helicopter chasing me too, I don't know if I got lucky or what but it wasn't really my problem because it kept flying away. The challenge was just to evade two spike strips, but it took me about 15 minutes to evade the level 7 chase. I finally lost the cops and hid out on one of the many highway overpasses that curve around to a different highway. The waiting for the "cooldown" meter is the best part too, if you don't want to risk running to a marked hiding spot (where the cooldown meter fills up much faster), you just have to sit and pray that no cop suddenly flies up behind you and starts the whole chase again. :cool:

I'm still stuck driving a crappy Volkswagon Gulf that's nearly 100% stock. :upset: I beat two guys on the blacklist but I'm waiting until I beat the next guy to upgrade so I can get a Supra.

The modifications aren't as important in the game as they were in Underground. There are plenty of parts, performance and visual mods to do, but this game is more about pursuit.. thus the "most wanted." Although one cool thing is to lower the "heat" level for one of your cars, instead of using a different car for a while, you can change your car's appearance and there's a gauge that tells you how much each visual change will lower your heat level.
This game is so ****in awesome. I can't wait to buy a Lamborghini, but you have to beat the 6th guy on the Blacklist to get the first one and I'm only on the #10 guy. However my Supra is pretty damn fun to use.

I finished 11 but I haven't started with 10...I'll save 10 through 7 for my weekend :-D

I don't really know of what else to do with it visually...Doesn't really matter, I suppose, since I play the game only in first person view.

Nice. Are you doing any of the challenges? I just did a couple last night where you were driving a Lambo! Oh man it sounds so pimp I can't wait to get one. :cool: They'll probably cost a ton of money though. :( At least you can replay races over and over to get money.
I have the XBOX version so no, no pics. My Supra is pretty much the same as yours, plus the stats are 2/3 down the bars because of picking the performance bonus thing when you race a blacklist member. Anyway I have the same body kit, but I think the spoiler I have is the Reaper.. which I picked just because of the name. :lol: The car is bright orange, with dark blue rims and dark aqua tint. It looks badass. I have the "Iceman" graphic across the back window too. My Lancer is the car that I pimped out with excessive visual mods.
Yeah, I did some of the challenges but I don't want to spoil the experience of driving the really nice cars...The Supra is so much fun to drive though! I usually just get the pink slips when I race a blacklist member, so it's only really high in acceleration and top speed. Handling could be better, but I'm happy as it is.
Some of the cars I've gotten from the blacklist racers are fugly as hell :lol:
So far, I've sold everything besides the Supra and the GTI.
Oh, and I was on a really intense Code 3 chase, and I ended up in one of the huge tunnels surrounded by seven cop cars...I thought I'd get busted, but I saw this truck near me and I did that trick you posted! The cops tried to follow but they all got disabled :lol:

I got the game today for PC, how do i free roam? I have played couple of challanges, very fun. Career mode I tried, but didn't feel like watching all the vids in between scenes and stuff. What do I have to do to go into free roam mode? Im running game at medium, 2X aa, very beatiful graphics. No lagging.

You have to go through the intro parts of career mode first to get into free roam.

Nice. I'm having a little trouble with the tollbooth challenge that has you driving the Lotus Elise.. the handling sucks so bad. :( I beat the Black Edition challenge though.. I don't know if the pc version has it or not. It's the 69th challenge and it's a condition 7 chase where you have to get 500k in bounty then evade.. but you're being chased by heavy SUVs so it's actually real easy to get your bounty up high because the SUV's are so expensive.
Those SUVs are such a pain when you're surrounded on both sides on a narrow ride :-(
My Supra is such a nice car, but the Eclipse I won is actually much faster :-o

it redlines in third gear at 115 mph...
my supra redlined in FOURTH gear at that speed, heh

Nice Porsche.. but it's too plain. You gotta pimp it out a little at least with some flashy paint jobs. :lol:
Hahah well my friend is splicing together the end of an xbox controller with a USB thing so once I can use my xbox controller for pc games then I'll probably get it. Anyway, my Supra tops out at about 165 mph I believe. I think the Cayman looks ugly as hell (although the intro scene with the #10 blacklist guy was pretty badass the way both cars met up) so I'm sticking with my Supra until I can buy the Gallardo.
Well, whenever you want the game, I'll be glad to send it to you.

I think my Caymen redlines at 160 in fifth...I haven't really found any really long straightaways to go past 185 yet :-(

And yea those SUVs really push you around. Whenever you get rammed by those two that go head on with you, I always just go into reverse then pull a 180 and that usually works.. sometimes you can just push your way past them but sometimes there are too many cars.
Anyway I just did a Drag race to find out the stats for my Supra.
0-60: 1.66s
1/4 mile: 8.78s
And it finished the track in 20.xx @ 165 mph. This was the Drag race for the #9 guy.. #8 doesn't have any drags or I would have done them.
Edit: And of course I have the second turbo upgrade that has the sweet blow-off valve. I don't know if I want to ever stop driving my Supra.. it sounds so badass. :( I never even use my second car.
Right now I have a Supra, an Eclipse, and the Cayman. I use the Cayman the most to rack up bounty, so it's heat level is always really high :-(
The Eclipse is really nice and the Supra handles like a dream.

Holy crap I just got the Gallardo. It's insane. 0-60 in 1.36 seconds and I've hit 201 on the highway. On the first couple heat levels it's so easy to just simply outrun the cops on the highway.. they have no chance. :amaze: :amaze:

I'll be picking this up in about 3 days, along with the 360.
I rented this last night with a couple of friends. It was so much fun and I really wish I had money to buy it. I'm considering to apply for a job at the Game rental store in my town because I would get a discount and it would be sweet for any games. Well, me and my friends played this for about 6 or 7 hours(I feel asleep after about 4) and my friends got to 19% complete. They were on the 10th blacklist member, I think. The graphics are also amazing.

Well lots of PC games are arcades, so they made that on purpose. If you play like racer and have a steering wheel you can get pretty realistic handling and stuff.
I need to buy a new steering wheel though, my old logitech got struck by lightning and now motor is burnt or something. :(

I don't even have enough money left after buying it and getting upgrades for my Caymen and Eclipse to upgrade the Gallardo :-(

ARGH GODDAMNIT!!! I just need 3 pursuit milestones to face the #3 guy, so I was running from the cops in a condition 5 chase for TWENTY THREE ****ing minutes but I got busted because of the gay bar. I had cut a hard 270 degree turn into a buildings parking lot (so the helicopter wouldn't spot me.. damn thing screws up a lot of good hiding spots) and quick flew to the side. I stopped because the bar was going towards evade. It starts going towards busted and gets a little red, so I started moving again but then it went back towards evade. I stop, and the ****ing bar flies to busted before I can do a thing. I had over a million bounty on that chase alone, I had all 8 infractions, over 60 police cars tagged and I think around 40 immobilized.. I blew through 28 roadblocks with 24 spike strips. AAAAAAHH!!! I hadn't gotten busted with any chase over 10 minutes before this. :mad: :mad:
I really want to get this game. Just from the first couple of Blacklist people it seems great. I also have the Demo on my computer and I will have to deal with it until I get a real copy once I have money.

It's ok I made it up with a 1.5 mil bounty chase. I got the #3 guy's car (DB9). My Gallardo and Supra are maxed out, I have my Supra tuned so that it is real good for in-town chases (lots of power in the lower rpms), and my Gallardo is the one I take out when I want to hit the highways to outrun the chopper. Everything is too damn expensive to fully upgrade the Murci or DB9. :(

No.. not necessarily. It's complicated to explain.. when you win a blacklist race you can get these "get out of jail free markers." When you get busted, if you have any of those, you can use them and it's as if the chase never happened. If you don't have any of them, you need to pay all the fines for every infraction that is outstanding on that vehicle. For me, that's a shitload of money. If you can pay it, you get an impound strike against that car. Enough impound strikes and your car gets impounded. If you can't pay the fines, your car gets impounded right there. I haven't had any cars impounded because a) I very rarely get busted and b) I have get out of jail free markers, a few things I won after beating a blacklist racer that can take away a strike from a car, and also if a car ever does get impounded I also won some "release car from impound" markers. :cool:
Alright, I knew about the "Get Out Of Jail" marker, that was one of the first things we got when we beat the first Blacklist member. I didn't know about the "Release Car From Impound" marker though.
I'm never going to get this game. Unless I magically come up with $50.

Pink slip
Extra money
Release car from impound
Increase allowed impound strike on a car or something like that
Get out of jail free
I think that's it.

Help!
I downloaded the ISOs and installed NFSMW without a problem. I couldn't find any cracks for the game (if any even exist yet), so I used Anti-Blaxx to get around the copy protection and play the game.
The thing is, when I tried to run it again later, the game wouldn't let me in, giving me the usual "Please insert the correct CD and restart application" message. I don't know why it doesn't work, since my Anti-Blaxx settings haven't changed. Can anyone help me out here, or point me to an alternative way to get around the copy protection?

Everytime your computer is turned off or restarted you need to re-hide the virtual drives with anti-blaxx. I have that program and that's what I have to do if I need to use it.

I'm trying to find out if there are higher levels you can get.. but if there are then they probably take a lot of bounty to get to because I just got this one at 30 mil.
Anyway I have a Toyota Supra, Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lamborghini Murciélago, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Porsche Carrera GT and the BMW M3 GTR.
Zakath, it's just like real life for you:p. I still need to save money before I can buy this game. It was too late to ask for it for Christmas, so I'm hoping I can a job shortly and start saving for the game.

Ah, that does suck. At least the Single Player mode owns. Since you've beaten the game (I think), can you keep driving around and such after you beat it?

Yep, you can free roam, buy other cars, upgrade current cars and finish any races or milestones (pursuit objectives) you didn't do for the blacklist. To get 100% career completion you actually do have to go back and finish all the races (if you only did what you had to to get to the next blacklist guy).

dude you finnished the game? its near impossible in the later levels the "catch up" thing owned me.
i overtook some guy, went at about 150 all the way, slowing down for corners and stuff. i've got like 800+ft of distance and he caught up with me in a jiffy. then after her overtook me, it took him like 5 seconds to get 1k+ ft away from me.

Well, first of all you should always aim for the rear of the police vehicle. Unless there's not many cars chasing you and you just want to cause as much mayhem and damage as possible. My Supra plows through pretty much anything without much trouble. I've heard the Mustang is the best car for plowing through stuff due to its weight, but I don't have one so I don't know for sure.

#6 is the Gallardo. Make sure you get the pink slip!! In my opinion it's the best overall car in the game.

I always go for the pink slip. My friend who is like 5 positions in front of me said it's always the 2nd or 3rd marker, never the first. I didn't get the supra as I guessed the wrong one before I knew that hint. Off to go play.

It's completely random. One of my pink slips was the first marker. There is no pattern or sequence! Just turn off autosave and reload if you really want a pink slip and don't get it.

Yea hahah. It's annoying when you first start out on a chase and you're at level 1.. you immobilize one cop car and it's chase over. Although, even when you're at level 5 it's possible to simply outrun the cops.. I did it with my Gallardo when I was hitting 220 on the highways.

Get the Lotus Elite after you beat Jewels and max it out. It owns every other car you could have at that stage, and the handing is phenominal.

by far the best car i've driven in this game.
Just got the game yesterday, started playing it today... nearly laughed out loud with joy when i saw you could drive mucielagos (or whatever)
I heard a rumour you could customise the interior of the car (fish tanks etc, pimp my ride style!!), and was kinda disappointed when that wasnt included...
No magazine cover deals is also kinda gay... and i hate the fact the body kits come all in one (rather than buying the front, side and back seperate)
quips aside, good game :)
oh yeah, and in real life, a stock mercedes mclaren would pwn a pimped out BMW M3 anyday of the week :p

Yeah the lack of individual body components is a little dissapointing, but it's a fair trade off considering it's approximately 931097813897 x better than NFSU ;)
The only thing I really would have liked to see is fully modelled interiors, like in PG3 (haven't played it, but seen vids, looks incredible).
Other than that, top notch game. Pity I don't have more time to play it!

I don't mind the controller too much, the little yellow C-stick can get annoying if you're usuing it constantly but I like the controller.

I got the game last night, Its good to see police back in the game, I started out with the lexus, At what stage do you unlock the first lot of performance upgrades??
Ive just beat the first blacklist guy on the list and im racing the next one when i get home :P
I just rented it from Blockbuster tonight. Me and my friend played for about 2 hours and I'm on the 13th blacklist member. Since I got it from blockbuster, there is no late fees, so I have it for about 3 weeks. It's such a sweet game, but it was much better on PS2 and a big screen compared to a gamecube and 21 inch.

I had 25 million bounty at the end. I'm dissappointed you can't do performance upgrades to the bmw but oh well. It also said I unlocked some cars in single player, but I can't find it. Either way it was a really good game. Good ending.

The last chase is heat 6, but you unlock levels of heat as you go. Each car has 3 impound strikes, but you can increase that to 5 with the markers they give you in career mode.
Sweet. I kept putting my car away when it's heat got to 3, but I should be fine then.
I also got busted for the first time yesterday. I can't believe it happened. I was ramming a police car and then I realized I was getting close to busted to I reversed and there was a cop car behind me too. Luckily, I had a Get Out Of Jail marker.

When I get busted, I just load my previous autosave. It's kind of stupid because they don't autosave the impound strike or the fine payed.
I don't care about the Jail Marker, I have another one.

Or just disable autosave, which is also useful if you want to get a certain pink slip.
And I'm still waiting for my USB adapter.. it should come either tommorow or Thurs. Of course, I just got a whole bunch of other games to play so I'll be busy over Christmas break. :cool:

I'm such a hypocryte. I bought it in the end a few weeks ago.
I'm on Blacklist no.3 and still need to unlock the last 2 cars. Haven't done many too challenges, not as much as you Zakath.
It is pretty addictive. But yeah were getting a new computer soon so I hope to get F.e.a.r and Half life 2 with cs soon for the pc.

I want to know if this game is worth it. I have a few questions.
1. I heard the PS2 version gets kinda laggy is this much of a problem?
2. I got bored after a while on NFSU2 because there was just not much to do towards the end, has this game got the same problem?
3. Also I heard that there is less things to customize your car with is this true?
4. I loved the drift in the other games, does the loss of them have a huge impact on the game?
5. Is the black edition worth the extra money?

On the ps2 it is still great, abviously not as great graphics and yes it CAN get laggy but that's when there are swarms of police cars and things around you. It still is fine.
I wouldn't know since I haven't finished it but there are challenges as well to complete.
Compared to NFSU2, there are less customizations options, such as changing your different side skirts and bumpers, and changing the colour of your engine etc.. instead there are whole body kits, there are different ones for basically every different car, 32 in all, which I think beat the hell out of the other NFS's.
Having no drift on Most Wanted is no problem. Instead you get police so you can get up to loads of fun.
And another thing which I found better is you can go straight and skip to races if you WISH, unlike NFSU2 you had to drive to the locations.

The appearence of pursuit in this game makes it great. The cops aren't too dumb (most of the time) and it is incredible fun to do pursuits over and over.
It is definately worth it. The cop chases are a lot more fun because they use tactics.
Me and my friend were playing this the other night and we were using my cordless gamecube controller, and my friend was in a cop chase, when the batteries died. The car kept going straight and it pinned a police car and I was freaking out at my friend asking him what he was doing, he was trying to accelerate and reverse and neither was working, then he got busted. I forgave him, but he got busted two times later on in the night but after his 3rd bust, we shut it off so it didn't save it.

I haven't played a racing game in years, so it took me a while to get used to the PC demo. I like it overall, although it can get slightly impossible to control at times. The huge amount of detail (for a racing game) makes it hard to know what's going on too, especially when you use the NO2. There are shops, doors, pillars, street lights, post boxes etc all along the sides of the road that fly past at 150mph and sort of make it hard to see. Unlike in other games where you have a barrier that simply acts as a sort of guide around the track. But it is a good game, the best driving game I've ever played, it just gets a bit hard to see where you're going and to contol the car at times. I might get it some time next year for PC once it's come down in price.

I'm bumping this thread because I decided to screw around in this game for a little bit, and the coolest ****in thing ever happened. I was in the middle of a chase and I was coming around this turn. There was a steep hill right after the turn, and right before the drop-off there was a four-way intersection. I come around the turn at full speed, preparing to get some big air on the hill. A police corvette comes out of nowhere and t-bones my car right at the intersection. He hits my right side, so just as I'm going off the hill, my car rolls onto its left side and the cop car gets rolled onto its right side. So we're right against each other with the undersides of our cars grinding as the camera switches to the slow-mo cinematic jump cam. However there was a spike strip laid out right below the hill, and my car barely clears it (still on its side with the cop car), in fact if I hadn't been rolled over I'm pretty sure my rear tires would have been blown out. Then we land and my car does a barrel roll and lands perfectly and I take off again. I wish I had been running FRAPS or something because it was so damn sweet.
I finally bought this and I haven't beat it. I got bored of it and gave up on the 2nd blacklist member.
