Well, inspite of all the new gear everyone seems to be getting and all... i thought we could do another one of these :thumb: for fun.

trumpeter617: just need to fix a small grounding problem and the electronics will be done. still waiting on those neck inserts though.

sixner: I actually just sort of fell into all of those Peavey basses. The best sounding of the lot is still the 1983 Foundation. I got it for $195 which included a hardshell case, but it sounds fantastic

^^^You haven't SEEN a Foundation yet? That's what I'm playing in that pic :lol:

If you're trying to buy one, don't get one unless its older with the Peavey Super Ferrite pickups. THe newer ones sound pretty bad to me

I ment in person :lol: i knew that was what you were playing... i've seen pic's n' such off ebay... just, never at a local shop.

It;s amazing i HIGHLY reccomend it. Its great for the price and you can get a good Jaco tone out of it :) I'd buy another one if this one...died:thumb:

Honestly, after playing it for a while, its just as nice as the custom shop Cirrus I've got. Very good bass. Sounds similar to a Warwick Corvette, but with about half the growl and twice the brightness (that was Gav's description, but an accurate one none the less)

I wrote a rather lengthy review about it in the reviews section. Also, are you looking for a preamp or a DI? People that say they're looking for a DI and then go pick up a BDDI, M-80, etc. tend to confuse me. These things are an external preamp. A DI is a device that will deliver your sound to the board with little to no coloration, something these devices do not do well at all.

I don't know, somewhere around the $400 range+shipping. Remember it has some damage on the back from shipping. Not a big deal though, but that is why it is cheaper than most.

I think people call it a DI cause 1) if i remember right, they're Listed under DI's.. and 2) they DO export your sound out to the board.. as you said. I'm lookin for something to add a little boost / dist to my sound that also exports it out...

That jazz is nice, I especially like the inlays. But I just can't get over the area where the two different pieces of wood meet, it ruins the bass (looks-wise) for me.

Hey Sixner, sorry for the late reply. I haven't actually used it as a DI yet, so I honestly couldn't tell ya. Although I DO use it to shape my sound. Once I used it, I was hooked. I use it more with my combo though to be honest, the 6PRO/610HLF sound great with or without it...

hey, is that the c4 in antique amber finish? hows the reliability on it, one guy had a problem with the neck getting warped because he dropped to c frequently, and some other people had problems with the bridge coming out, do you have that problem? how long have you had it?

i love it sounds and plays great. the only diffrence is i got a seymore duncan active bassline preamp, anda 3 way mini switch. its a jazzman so i have 1 passive j pickup

but you thumb 5 is really hot as well

Their stickers from some of the equipment i use. I just put them their, never realy thort why.

The second bass is the vintage v40fl like many other mxers and the marshall rack thingy is the jmp1 pre amp. Its my brothers and its only their to stay safe.

place called Music go Round.. it's where ive got about 75% of my gear actually... goliath, peavey TKO, westone and my kustom.... all from there...

but guitar center had the same golith III cab on clearence for $400 as well, but it was an 8 ohm, not 4.
