thats crazy, i can get harmonics in general out of the string past the fretboard, but not the one he plays

Victor Wooten is actually only an inch tall, and they erect a complicated series of lights and mirrors for when he's playing on stage.

Random Victor fact:
When you walk outside and aren't eaten by dinosaurs, you can thank Victor Wooten for killing them.

I think the part where he put in the mutes with the normal notes and the harmonics was amazing.....it was kinda boring in the slow parts.
Ahhhh how old is that video? I swear he's getting chubbier.

Ah yes, I have a copy of that video somewhere...
And to SixNStones: I believe he slides all the way down the fretboard and does a 26th fret harmonic...

i'm not a big VW fan personally...idk i just can't get into him much.
I'm positive he slides up the neck and taps the 24th fret, no harmonics at all.
But yes, I love this video, I played this solo at a show once (minus the Classical Thump intro). It's great to improvise fills on.

That's one of VW's solos I like that does not look like pure fret wankery.
That''s one of the solos I heard before I bought my bass that made me realize even more how I like it better than a guitar solo.
That's one awesome solo.
By the way, his D and G strings are tuned up a 1/4 step to make the harmonics in tune, I never noticed that before. So if you do the slide and it sounds incorrect, that's why.
