View Full Version : Putting money down on a new bass!

Went in and played this beauty today, it's a 1988 reissue of a 1965 Jazz bass, I went in to look at a 81' Stingray but when I played this bass it felt so good, I'm going to go in monday morning and put a grand down on it because they're not going to be open tomorrow. Woo, it feels so good, can't stop thinking about it.

If anyone else has played this bass please tell what you thought of it.

damn, i would put money down on a stingray at the local guitar center, but i kinda want a xbox 360...

i know the bass is better in the long run, but still...

^Well I'd look at it this way...you can't play Halo on a stingray...but you can play Donna Lee on an Xbox (on a cd :upset:)

Jazz basses and Precision basses are ugly IMO. But everyone has their own preferences. If you like it, buy it.

The total cost is 1650$ CDN + tax but it's a small local shop so I can haggle with them, I'm hoping to get it for $1500 out the door with its hard shell case.

I'm not a flamboyant person but this bass sure is, I just found out they're not open mondays so I'll have to wait till tuesday.

you can play the halo theme song on a string ray. i've done it, except it was on my custom.

it looks really nice but go back and play the stingray you want. You wanted the stingray longer and after you buy this you might still want the stringray. Eithor one seems like a great choice so have fun with either bass you get, but careful, you might regret getting one over the other. Just some friendly advice. The bass looks sweet though.
