Is he the best poet ever or what? In a musical sense I mean. He's a badarse coolcat poet. What do you guys think of him? Like/Dislike/Sex on a regular basis?

I've heard one song, which I think was his most popular. I think it was called Burbon Street or something. It was alright. I usually don't dig the poetry too much though.

It's the one that he's talking through how he was beaten up by a kung fu guy. it's hilarious.
"Outside the takeaway saturday night, A bald adolescent asked me out for a fight. He was no bigger than a two penny fart, he was a deft exponent of the martial arts. He gave me three warnings trod on me toes, stuck his fingers in me eyes then he kicked me in the nose. A rabbit punch made me eyes explode, me 'ead went dead, I fell in the road. I pleaded for mercy, I wriggled on the ground, then he kicked me in the balls and said something profound. He stole my chop suey and left me for dead. Through rivers of blood and splintered bone, I crawled half a mile to the public telephone, pulled a corpse out the call box held back the bile, and with a broken index finger I proceeded to dial. Couldn't get an ambulance the phone was screwed, the reciever fell in 'alf it'd been kung fu'ed. a black belt karate cop opened up the door, demanding information 'bout the stiff on the floor. He looked like an extra from Yung Shon Po, he said what's all this then, as'so as'so as'so."
thats about half of it, if i remember it correctly.
RIP Ian Curtis

Yes! That's the one. It's quite catchy, but a little boring. I may check out his other stuff sometime soon.
