A flare of though, it engulfs the shattered headlights in my mind
They lay dormant, wires spark, the only illumination for sometime
A tunnel that greets the end of a one way street,
That no-one ventures lest they meet
A fate that's worse than life
A blinding flash , but still no light
I sink away in the seat of the car of the only fool, vacant enough to trapse this path
I made a chess set from his teeth,
the gold and bone compliment the dashboard
The asphalts still warm from the screech of tyres and the shouts of
'Not again'
Theres a tourist brochure and a cure for cancer here
Written in bold on the walls
