So, I think it's safe to say that HBO has the best shows on American TV, period. My favorite is probably Curb Your Enthusiasm, and I think the only running comedy show that could make me laugh like this one is Family Guy. Larry also reminds me a lot of an uncle of mine, which makes it even funnier for me. The Sopranos is great too. It's realistic as hell, and it's although it sound unfair, it's better than most mob movies.

Entourage, Six Feet Under, Real Time, Carnival.

I haven't seen any Curb Your Enthusiasm, but the Sopranos is a bad show. I started watching it over the summer and was so bored.

Extras is good, but I've only seen 3 episodes so far.

SEX AND THE CITY! Oh yeah. It's the only HBO show I've seen regularly, and I don't care what you guys say, I like it.. for some peculiar reason

Used to be Curb Your Enthusiasm, but the new ones are too close to old Seinfeld episodes so I have to dock off a few points.

meh, i dont really like HBO but if i had to pick i would choose Curb Your Enthusiasm

I feel sorry that you are getting Extras, it's a terrible show.

The Sopranos, however, is awesome

I haven't seen all of those but Six Feet Under is great, if it's on tv I'll watch it :)

Do you know if they're going to release season 6? I know it's filmed and everything, but did it ever air on tv? I just started watching Oz a few months ago, I rented every season avaliable (up to season 6). On the last disc of season 5 it showed all of season 6 previews, yet it's not out, and theres no info on it being released or anything. I need to watch it. :upset:

Well the last disc of Season 5 has previews to Season 6. It looked like it was going to be awesome. So they atleast filmed enough of it to have a preview of it ready for the end of season 5.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage (points for Jane's Addiction theme song), Sapranos, Bill Maher, Sex in the City; almost any of their orginal series are great.

Showcase > HBO. Even though they're pretty much the same thing. Ah well.

Am I the only one here who thinks Arrested Development would do very good on HBO? Of course, they would have to start on Season 1, but I think it would do good there.

They sold The Sopranos. Hell, they we're very close to showing the pilot when at the time the show was called "Made in Jersey".

But then again, it's a different situation that I'd rather not get into.

Definitely Curb Your Enthusiasm. That, along with Arrested Development (:(:(:(:() is one of the few shows I watch that is consistently funny.

It's a toss up between Curb and Sopranos.


This season of Curb has been pretty decent...better than last season.

entourage, carnival, rome, bill maher, sopranos.........those are all my favorites, but i think entourage and rome are the best. Its kinda bad that they canned carnival, it was just getting good, although i think the third season would end up being predictable.

Band of Brothers was good as well.

I liked the first two seasons of the Sopranos... But then it turned into a soap.
