If I were to get a new computer is there ANY possible way i could do this without losing all my data on limewire??? Also, I'm always hearing about downloading actual movies (not talking about live proformances and such, real movies) and computer games on it but i havn't been able to figure out how...what kind of file would it be under?(mpeg, afi, zip) And finally if I do end up downloading these movies or games would it be easier to get viruses from these types of things than downloading music?

If you want games and movies use a torrent, P2P programs are full of viruses.

Sound advice.

Another reason to use torrents for large files is that they are much less likely to cut out on you.

Movies are usually in avi or mpeg if they're dvd rips. Actual DVDs would be in vobs or something like that and over a GB probably.

Like they said use torrents for movies, games, etc.. And limewire for single music tracks.

Also you can just go to your shared folder, burn it, and then put it in new computer's shared folder. Or you can plug that hard drive into the new pc, and transfer files that way without burning.

The best i could ever do was copy a PSX game to my computer and then run it with an emulator, or on my psx if i modded it. But PS2 games are much harder...you need a lot of illegal software...i think...i might just be talking out my arss
