Thanks, but nothing will be done about it, although I can't believe that my Cradle of Filth review was unexplainedly negged.
By the way, you so obviously stole Med 57's avatar.

It's not the same user constantly.
I just checked it, and no it isn't the same person (I also checked your past reviews). They're all legitimate accounts as well, and quite a few of the votes have been explained by people. Not really much I can do except to ask people negatively voting a review to comment on it, especially if they use that feature on a regular basis.

i think Kripes may be getting undeserved neg votes, each one of his past few reviews has only had one neg vote, i think it's the same user constantly
I've negged more than a few but usually comment on my negging so ya. Also, every one of my reviews has purposeful undeserved negs, and in many cases two (beyondtheblueprint and gunner8878 both broke under my extension interrogation process), but you know, it happens.

This isn't a bad review, just something that needs to be fixed. On the decade album charts, I noticed there were only a few for the 80's. Then I realized that was because it's only for the year 1980, instead of the whole decade.

another ****ing album that doesn't belong in the punk section man these guys are so brilliant making fun of bush but voted for him, I mean no one makes fun of bush it's so original, not to mention how hardcore punx they are because they rip on the government even though they make millions from all you dumbasses who think they are hardcore anarchists, you want anarchy? I'll smash a ****ing beer bottle over your head and see how you like it, also learn how to spell you cunts man you ****ing idiots are overpopulating the earth we need another war, hopefully a nuclear one. If you want real punk bands start out with Black Flag And Fear, then listen to **** like G.G. Allin
it's not what is "wrong wiht yoy" it's what's wrong with you, there's something seriously wrong with your scene when the easiest way to get into a girl's pants is in fact to get into girls pants. you're all a bunch of brainless idiots, Greenday was never punk, from the beginning they were sellouts. Always have been always will be, they don't give a **** about the music, they just want a quick buck, their full of ****.

An album I reviewed that has consistently been praised as one of the top albums of the year in the emo scene, Funeral Diner's The Underdark is getting poor representation on the sputnik top albums because Gunner gave it a 0 to screw with my rankings.

Half of the pop reviews are screwed up by people with nothing better to do than rate an album based on one or less songs.

Ya, I guess it was unfair of me to give Kevin Federline's album a 1/5 based off of the single. He must have sold out on the single and stayed tru hxc gangsta on all the other tracks.

I can access my user cp on the sputnik home page, but it just takes me to a blank space with Welcome Kripes! and then the choices that everyone normally has at the top of the home page, but not my reviews, ratings, edit reviews, favorite reviewers, albums, etc. and then on the left where a few of those things should be it asks me to register at musician forums or something of that sort. I can post, but if I ever need to edit a review I won't be able to. That is my main problem.

Just because a review gets on the site a couple of hours or a day later does not make it worse compared to immedeate submission. Again, please be patient. Should the problem still be there when I get up tomorrow, I'll get in touch with mx. But until then I think we all can wait, it won't kill any of us :)
The new problem with submitting reviews should be fixed

I'm just working on Bob Dylan's discography right now, and there are a few problems. First, there are two Bob Dylan profiles. Can this one (http://sputnikmusic.com/bands.php?bandid=1989) be deleted?
Also, within the correct Bob Dylan profile, someone has submitted Highway 61 Revisited twice. This one (http://sputnikmusic.com/album.php?albumid=4078) should be deleted. Finally, I accidentally submitted Planet Waves (http://sputnikmusic.com/album.php?albumid=4470) without any information. Can it please be deleted as well, I am going to make the proper one right now. Thanks to Med/Dam/Jom, who ever gets to it first.
edit: alright I can't edit it for some reason, or add it as a new album. Here's the infor if you can fix it...
Release date: 1974
Tracklist:
1. On a Night Like This
2. Going, Going, Gone
3. Tough Mama
4. Hazel
5. Something There Is About You

7. Forever Young, cont.
8. Dirge

I could swear there was at least one other review of WWN from Chevelle, but mine is the only one showing. What happened to it?
There's at least three that I know of on Sputnikmusic, but I can't merge them yet under a universal album. I will soon, though.

Damrod

At the bottom of the page here in the Site forum are only the local mods listed. Means, the mods that are appointed moderating this forum. It basically has nothing o do with the mods on Sputnik.
We (Med and I) asked a while back for us getting local moderation rights, so we can deal with the Sputnik related threads here.
Don't worry about it, duder. It's all good. There was a time on MX where all of the moderators weren't listed on the bottom of the page. That didn't mean that they weren't mods anymore, they just weren't listed in the forum leaders page, is all. It's no big thing :)

Mezmerize and Hypnotize are half album's of each other, so together they make a whole album. Could they be reviewed together?

Regarding the problem with misleading after editing:
I tested with some of my posts, and I had no problem so far. In what reviews have you expirienced that?
Regarding the SOAD albums:
They were two seperate releases, so I think they should be reviewed that way. You might link them together, but it should be a review for each of the albums
Mezmerize and Hypnotize are half album's of each other, so together they make a whole album. Could they be reviewed together?
No. I second Damrod.

Whenever I look to see who all has an album on their playlist, it just lists my name over and over again. For example, for None So Vile, it has Scruples on the list 16 times, instead of whoever has it on their list.
Is it like this for anyone else?
Edit: It seems to have solved itself.

Sorry, but I can't do anything about moving them to a subgenre that doesn't exist. Is it okay if they stay in Black Metal, or do you want me to just throw them into the regular Metal genre? A Folk/Viking metal subgenre will not be added anytime soon, to my knowledge.

Hmm, I'm not really sure. I mean, it's definetly not black metal in the slightest, but without a folk/viking/related I'm not sure. Throwing them under the metal genre would probably be the best option then, if it's not too much work.

I see.
Concerning the Add Albums feature. Similarly to when adding a review, we seem to be able to choose from a drop-down list when submitting an album, but when you choose it and hit submit it just goes straight to the 'thank you for...' screen. Is there a purpose to this or is it just an oversight? Could it be adapted so we can edit incorrect entries?
Damrod
01-02-2006, 04:26 AM
It's basically just a feature to add albums to bands where no reviews are present for. Come to think about it, maybe a confirmation screen would be a good idea. Something like:
The entered the following album information to add to the archives:
Band name - album name
Cover
Tracklist
Release Date
Add album? Yes/No
Please make sure the there are REALLY no reviews for this album in the database, to avoid unneeded duplicates in the system!
Dave de Sylvia
01-02-2006, 04:39 AM
No, what I mean is: The Add Albums feature is supposed to be for submitting an album that's not already in the database. So how come when I do go to submit an album, there's the same drop-down list there is for Add Reviews, with all the already submitted albums?
Damrod
