As many of you may well remember, a while ago (before the update), I presented the idea of building callouses faster by peeing on one's own hands in the shower.

I'm curious, so here is my question.

Do you pee on your hands in the shower?

20 bucks says some jackass just made that up to see how many fools would believe it, and then procede to piss on their own hands.

yeah...come to think of it, rubbing sperm in your hair after a shower will give you healthier roots.

I pee on my hands in the shower every day. I'm not fully convinced that it helps to build callouses faster, but it warms up my hands really well, and I've been told it's the best way to clean them as well.
I've been told by a science teacher that urine, when left alone, ferments (not the exact word, but close to it) into ammonia...which is, as we all know, a popular chemical in cleaning products.

Did nothing for my fingertips though! Mainly just the palms and that bit on the inside of your fingers, etc.

Urine (along with urea and uric acid) is a form of ammonia which is safe for your body to proccess and dispose of. "Nitrogenous waste" its called.

You can make cleaning products from urine, yes... but it's not a cleaning product in its own right...

i disagree.

once, when i was really drunk at my girlfriend's apartment, i pissed on her kitchen floor. she got insanely mad, pushed me on the floor, and rubbed my face in my own urine. when i woke up the next day, my face felt, and looked really clean. no blemishes or anything.

Well, a bunch of baseball players do it and it seems to work for them. However, I don't know if they rinse their hands or not.

Well, at least my hands are softer.

But, urine contains urea, which is used in alot of skin-care products. (Note that it is lab-created urea, not filtered stuff.) Thusly, it does help with skin care.

To each his own I guess. I personally find this all fascinating. Never knew there was urotherapy (drinking one's own urine). From what I've read, it is actually a good thing for you. Hmm.
