Thinking about getting a bass. I just want to play around with it...so nothin to high priced. Thinking about getting a Rouge but heard that the cable input into the guitar gets loose and breaks. It happened to my friend a month ago. If I buy it is there anyway I can prevent that from happening? On his bass there is 2 screws by the input. If I tighten those is there a possibility that it won't break in the future?

I think it's the actual nut that tightens around the input that gets loose. At least, that's what happen with my old Rogue. There's probably some way to get around it... you could probably even replace it for cheap. It's not too big of an issue though... It never really hindered my playing too much.

what this kid said. rogues arent good basses at all, but theyre so cheap, so its not like your throwing a bunch of money into it. id suggest a cheap Ibanez.

I would go Ibanez, I've had mine for almost 4 years and still use it.

ibanez gsr200 or yamaha rbx170 are very good starting basses.

tell him to take it to a shop that does repairs. this happened to my washburn XB100 and only cost £10 to repair (about $15 for americans who dont know how much that is) and the nut is thighter than ever.

I looked up the Ibanez gsr200 is $200 and I need an amp besides that which might run around $250. I'm not that rich. Like afireinside336 said... you can just get it repaired for about $15 bucks...its not that big of a deal.
