1. Take your strings off your bass

2. Unscrew all the screws fixing the scratchplate on to the body

3. Place the screws on a flat surface in the position they came out e.g if one comes out of the top right hand corner of the scratchplate put it down on the top right hand corner of the table etc

4. Take the scratchplate off

5. Place the new scratchplate on the body

6.Using the screws which came out of the holes screw the scratchplate on

Job done. Hope i helped man :)

oh yeah i forgot about them, yeah they should just pull straight off man

and no nothing is attatched to the scratchplate, its just a piece of plastic screwed on top of the body

ull have to unscrew the pots. the knobs should pull off but under that theres a nut holding the pot on just unscrew or use the corisponding flat wrench (dunno what the tech term is)

You can change anything you want.

Personally, I would put a black pickguard on it, and chrome black hardware. The maple neck would clash well with it.

I would look into getting another neck-too. Perhaps one with black block inlays? Makes for a classy looking instrument.

It's not a big thing, but a matching headstock would be nice. :thumb:

I'd give the bass all black hardware, a black pickguard, and maybe paint the headstock black. 'twould look sick.
