I was just curious what everyone else here thought was their defining moment when they realized they truly were a musician. If you want to be more specific it can be your defining moment as a bassist, or if you do not believe you have had a defining moment yet, tell us when you think you might have it, or what you are expecting.
For me I have to say it was this past weekend when I played bass in my school's musical for three very successful nights. I got tons of compliments on my playing and I was a really cohesive unit with the rest of the orchestra (well 4 people, its a rock musical) and to top it all off it said in the program:
Bass - Bass_ment
I've played in a punk/ska band for ages now and we've wrote so many great songs together that are fantastic but really for some reason these past three nights which I have worked for over 3 months on were just.....defining.
Tell yours.
