yea some new amp help

yea ive been playin bass on my friends amp for a while but he wants it back so is there a distinct difference between guitar and bass amps? could i get away with a guitar amp or not. plus is it worth it to buy a bass pedal? thanks

If you use a guitar amp with a bass you run a very high risk of damaging the speaker cone. And it's probably not buying any pedals until you have an amp.
