would it be alright to do a review on stand up comedians. i know its not exactly music, but i believe i've seen things similar on the site and was just wondering if reviewing one would be unwanted or against policy or something like that...?

What would be the 'similar thing' you've seen?

something vague

Tenacious D would be similar.

Not IMO. Though Tenacious D are very humor oriented, it's music. A stand-up comedy program would not really fit into the scheme of the site. We could have allowed reviews of movie DVDs in that case as well a while back

Comedy albums like Dane Cook's Harmful if Swallowed?

Iai did a Bill Bailey review, which is half-music half-stand up.

If they were, I would have reviewed Bill Hicks's back catalogue by now, you see.

There goes that review of Rant In E-Minor I was working on.
