thats what happend to me cause i was into ac/dc n all that rock and i got a bit of metallica and i became a thrashboy :lol:

I disagree with that. Are you saying that, in general, metal is more complex and mature than rock? If so I completely disagree.

Metal isn't usually faster. It can be, but it's hardly a catch-all statement.

Things to add:

Metal generally uses minor key.

Rocks lyrical themes tend to be more based in realism(emotions, social issues, "day to day" stuff) and Metal lyrical themes tend to be more based in romanticism(exaggerated battle between good and evil, metaphysical)
