I find it interesting how a few songs can change a person's entire life. So I've listed my top 10 most inspirational songs that changed my life.

1. Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
2. Du Hast - Rammstein
3. Master of Puppets - Metallica
4. Cowboys from Hell - Pantera
5. My Friend of Misery - Metallica
6. Crash - Methods of Mayhem (THE song that introduced me to metal)
7. Asche zu Asche - Rammstein (First song I learned on guitar)
8. Blood Brothers - Iron Maiden
9. Smoke On The Water - Deep Purple
10. I Am The Highway - Audioslave

As you can see, Metallica and Rammstein have been HUGE inspirations in my life. They literally changed my personallity and basically opened the door to music for me.
Those are mine. I'd like to see your Top 5 or 10 :thumb:

I can't do lists like this because of the gamut of emotions and the events I have experienced over the years. To say that I've only felt five or ten emotions and only pick one song that represents each emotion is way too difficult. When times got difficult, I turned to music. Lots of songs were extremely therapeutic. When I (or my friends) was/(were) in a hole, my friends/(I) bailed me/(them) out, and music played a substantial part each time. When things were going extremely well, there was music to celebrate with. Some of my fondest memories include a wide array of songs. Some of my worst memories include a wide array of songs as well - but they all somehow influenced who I am as a person today, believe it or not. Through all the years I've listened to music, through all the emotions, feelings, events, and misfortunes that I've come across, to try to compile it all into a list is near impossible for me.

1. Isis - "Grinning Mouths"
2. Pelican - "Autumn Into Summer" Opened a whole new world.
3. Blut Aus Nord - "Slaughterday (The Heathen Blood Of Ours)" Opened the door to black metal for me.
4. Agalloch - "In The Shadow Of Our Pale Companion"
5. Ulver - "I Troldskog Jaren Vild"

No particular order. And this is only in rock and metal. I have a few other inspirations in punk, hardcore, emo/screamo, etc.

So many different songs influenced so many different bands and songs and singular artists that this is nearly impossible, plus this thread was just done with a less obnoxious title.
