Well lately I've been playing the acousitc and listening to Bob Dylan :) Check out some of my covers...I will record some originals soon!

Right now i've got...Hide Your Love Away (The Beatles), Oh Sister (Bob Dylan), and I Will Be Back (Original...recorded with crappy computer mic).

Please give me your thoughts/creative criticism.

Hey I just listened to your Hide Your Love Away cover. Now obviously only you know what you set out to do with the song, whether that was to impersonate it, or change it up in whatever way, but here's my first impression.

Compliments: I like your voice, you've got a very Dylan-like voice which I think spouts truth and reality. I liked the idea of double tracking the chorus, though I'm not sure why you only did it on the first one..I liked how you kept it to just guitar and vocals because really that's the only way that song should be performed.

Criticisms: The song didn't flow very well, as you seemed to pause and hold notes at odd times. The vocals sounded a little shaky at times, but that will inevitably get better with practice. I'm not sure if the track cuts off before it's supposed to, but if not, a smoother ending would be a good idea.:p

I really liked it overall though, as this is one of my favourite Beatles songs, and I think you definitely did it justice. With a little cleaning up here and there it could really be great.:thumb:

Nice job. You did a good job imitating Lennon's vocals on that song. Like Leppermessiah my only criticism is that that the song didn't really flow. I think Oh Sister flowed a little better, but I liked your singing on You've Got To Hide Your Love Away a little more. Good job on both of them :thumb:

Thanks both of you...everyone seems to say I have a good voice. But when I listen to it, I feel like I sound off key.

Ya it's the same thing with me. Most people think I have a nice voice but I always think it sounds bad. I guess, as the saying goes, you're your own toughest critic...or something like that.

I just had a chance to listen to You've Got To Hide Your Love Away. Good job on it. It is a little rough but that is an easy fix. You should really upgrade that mic ;).
