Recording Hints

Since this is the Audio Arena , why wont each person post how did he record his original\cover , by saying the instruments he used , the technique , any hints for the other users to be aware of , and if it is a home recording plz do post wich software , mixer , soundcard .... you are using .

It IS a good idea, and I don't wanna sound rude, but.. If you're interested in how the track was recorded, you could ask. I mean, if I hear a bad recording (which actually is the case of half the recordings here, if not even more..) I couldn't care less about what equipment was used :)
