help with Digital Recorders

hey guys , i was looking at the Fostex MR8HD 8-Track Digital Recorder and im very interested but i wanted more simultaneous recordings. this one has 4 and i wanted to know if there is anything above 4 and maybe if you could give me some links or names of ones that are above 4 simultaneous recordings. thanx

There's absolutely loads. The sky's the limit, but they do start costing very much.

I'm not too knowledgeable on recording but if you're looking to record say a drumkit, your best would be to get a 8/16 channel mixer, set the volumes accordingly and record to one track. Then just bounce the tracks and there you have it :)
