Can anybody recommend a good pair of sound isolation headphones with good bass...well your drummers you know what we need. I want it for practicing by myself and with my band possibly, and I dont really wanna pay over 200...thanks.

and this doesn't have anything to do with this topic, but for those of you who like to figure out songs by ear, heres a good challenge, try and learn brad wilks sweet drum part for "ashes in the fall" (ratm), learning his complicated high hat patterns can be very tough, it sounds very cool by itself, and could be adapted into the beginning of a cool technical solo. I got in a little over my head on this one, but there is a really good tab here on mx, i think it might be missing a few parts, but even learning it with the tabs is challenging. anyways...back to the headphones.

Buy some stankin' Hearos! You'd be willing to spend 200 on iso's? You're crazy, man...

22 dB. It's a good pair of isophones, I use them and have no complaints. If you want good stereo isophones I would go with Studio Kans. $140 CND.

could you give me a model name, cause i was looking on musicians friend and i could only find one studio kans, but it got horrible reviews, i would trust people on hear more than on there, but I would still like to make sure I'm looking at the same ones.

I use Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's. $100 on MF. They claim up to 32 dB of sound attenuation, but I don't think that's realistic, based on my experience. Nonetheless, they're great for isolation and they're by far the best sounding headphones of any kind that I have ever used. They sound better than my $1600 sound system.

High-end Sennheisers are *amazing* quality, all of their more expensive headphones, isolation or not, are completely top notch, I would recommend them to anyone.

My guitarist special ordered their best headphones just for his computer gaming needs because the sound quality is so superb. Isophones with Sennheiser quality? You know you're hearing perfect sound replication, and getting great isolation.

I have the Sennheiser HD212Pros, and they have the best sound quality i've ever heard, and the isolation is pretty damn good too. They were €60, as I was on a tight budget.

yea, headphones work better at immersing you into gaming better than the best 7.1 system, the effect is amazing.

Ya im definetly gonna get an amaising set of isophones/headphones when i get my new Zen (Neeon I hope). I use them (current pair) in the car too, especially when driving alone just pop em on and go instead of cranking your system. Good phones make the music, i use them when recording/mixing to instead of stidio monitors, i find that better, get right into the music that way.
