I've heard of the Pillows but not never got a chance to listen to them. Hmm, you should try to listen to Dir en Grey or Hide. They're awesome bands.

L'Arc~En~Ciel were only really great for one album, I think. Everything they did apart from Ark is too straightforward.

Why are some Japanese bands J-rock and some aren't?

I always thought J-rock was the music being played in anime shows, or at least similar sounding. Well if that's not the case then I'd have to call Acid Mothers Temple J-rock. Envy are cool, they are.. Jemo

Which bands are you talking about? If so, it's pretty lame to say they're bad just because people at your school listen to them.

I do listen to great Japanese music! Guitar Wolf is pretty cool but Dir en Grey is way better, a long with Hide, Penecillin, kuroyume, Alice nine, and a bunch of other bands. :)

^_^ I'm sure everyone that see's Kyo live wants to be him. ME TOO! I love them! They're my FAVORITE band. I'm not a vocalist but Kyo still rocks my world. I really love how Die and Karaou play the guitar! They rock!

Uh, I think that's it. I don't think I could listen to a lot of JRock, but it's good in small doses.
