When i went to buy my mim jazz i played all the signatures. The one i thought was the best was the geddy lee sig bass. I would have got that one if i wanted a signature. The mike dirnit sig the action was really high i hated it maybe i just picked up a bad one i dunno I would have just gone with a mim standard.

GET OFF THE TOPIC OF SLIPKNOT JUST TELL ME IF IT WAS A GOOD BUY!!!
my caps lock broke :p

Why are you asking us? We didnt buy it did we? Nobody here has any power over what your opinions are! If you think it was good, than its good! If you lived by what people on forums thought, (namely this one) you wouldnt have bought anything without blindly asking, now would you? And than you wouldnt have bought what you wanted!
Does that answer the question?

I like his buy! I want that signature bass...one of the few fenders that i want...heck i would play with a pick and actually experiment with high end if i had that...seriously but its his opinion...i personally think it was worth it....

My question that I've been trying to figure out is was Paul Gray the bassist on the Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. album or was it somebody else?? I've heard mixed stories, hopefully somebody knows. If that was him on Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat., why does he suck now?
anways to threadstarter, If you like the bass and it sounds good to you, it's a good buy. :thumb:

All im saying is, dont second guess yourself. If you look at the money you spent instead of what its going to buy, or are just nervous about it in general, i have to say it looks like a good buy! Your opinion is all that matters!

He doesn't suck now! lol that is paul. he just doesnt feel the need to be fancy in their stuff right now cause there are like 9 members, MFKR was like an experimental album they werent even the slipknot we know as them today.

ok, so it was him. I know they were much different those days. I like that album but i hate all their stuff when they are a 9 piece. IMO, they should have stuck with that experimental thing. Much more interesting to me.

dave how can you not like fender? the company that brought you the most used guitar? a stratocaster?
Killer Fridge
10-31-2005, 04:43 PM
just because its used allot doesnt mean he has to like it!
i like their basses, i feel that they are a little overpriced though - although if you want a bass that will last you your life, get a MIA, if you can save up the money
