Has anyone played one of these? I plan on getting a new bass in the future and I liked what I have heard and see of these basses.

I love their designs, very attractive. I haven't played one, but I recall hearing quite good things about them.

I've made plenty of money to get one, I just want to make sure I want to get one before I spend 3,000 to 4,000 dollars for one that I don't like.

If you go to the basses in stock there they have around 8 Jerzy Drozd. Most are 5 string and they range from 2,200 to 4,400. Really only the 6+ strings will cost a lot more.

Well on that website, they don't have any prices listed for 4 string basses, but for the 5 strings they do range from around 2,200 to 4,400. So I'm guessing that the 4 string basses would be at most that much. They do have one 6 string for 6,600 and one 7 string for 6,700.
That 7 string bass they have on there is the top of the line Jerzy Drozd bass: The top and headstock are Burl Black Poplar. The body is Etimoe. The 35" scale 28 fret neck consists of seven pieces - Wenge, Bubinga, Maple. The Macassar Ebony fretboard is adorned with the "Quo Vadis" inlay. Side dots are blue LEDs. Pickup covers and control knobs are Rosewood. Piezo Bridge pickups are standard. What is missing ? You ?? With hardshell case and the LAG discount, this bass is $6,795.
Now I'm sure you can get a 7 string for around 1,000 to 1,500 less than that if you take away all extremes that this bass has.

Get the 7 then. Or get a 4 string Fodera Monarch and have a better bass!

I don't really like anything over 6 and for my next bass I'm not sure if I even want a 6 string. That's the thing, you don't know that a Fodera Monarch is better than a Jerzy Drozd because you haven't played a Jerzy Drozd(I think). Also, I would prefer a little less quality bass if I customized everything to how I wanted it over a Fodera Monarch. Not to mention I think that Jerzy Drozd basses look a lot better than Fodera basses do.

My only problem with the looks of these things if the top horn on them all. It's just that big, fat, ugly type of horn that I really don't like, also seen on Spectors, I believe.

Lol, I kind of like it. I guess the big top horns grew on me when I got my Conklin.

I know what you mean. They are nice basses but if I had to choose I wouldn't choose the Fodera. This one guy I know got a Wooten Signature for like 3,000 because he knows one of the makers of them or something. It is very fun to play.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against a big top horn, such as on a Conklin. But those big, round, tumor-looking ones, like on these basses, just turn me away from them.
