i just got into playing funk/slap and things like that and im trying to get a new bass, these the two i have choosen, but if u knoe of any better ones that are good thats around 200-300 then tell me:

well they are both good for the price, but i would save up some more and invest in a bass that will last you a long time. the OLP's have a reputation for falling apart, but they have a great sound and the grinds dont have much in the way for sound options IMO. if you saved up a little more and got a ibanez sr400 you would be much happyer in the long run.

Yeah, what Tryxx said. Peavey's are rock-solid basses, and are great for upgrading.

Replacing parts of the bass for ones of higher quality. Such as the pickups, the bridge, the tuners, etc.

i personally like the ibanez better, but you should play both and see what you like more. after all its your choice
