thanks guys. im kinda stressing out, i dont know what to play for them. i am a huge iron maiden, judas priest and black sabbath fan, so the majority of the metal songs i know are by them. i was planing on getting an overdrive pedal on thursday, but should i get a distortion pedal instead? or big muff?

you should just play something they know how to play so you guys can play together. And don't buy pedals to impress a band :p You shouldn't worry too much about passing the audition; you should be more worried about them being good/nice enough for you to be in a band with. :thumb: good luck

get all three and make your own sound. but anyway, i have not listened to them, but i am thinking that they do not play older metal probily more so metalcore, so i am thinking that you should learn somelines from bands such as avenge sevenfold and atrayu. its more the style, but the writting is not as great.

More than anything:
Be you and and play how YOU like to play. There is no point faking your way into a band, because you will hate it once you get in. Trust me, I've done it before. Make sure you can get along with all the members, and you REALLY enjoy the music. If so, then you are good as gold. They wouldn't be auditioning you if they didn't need a bassist, and if they need a bassist and you are a cool dude, they will take you even if you suck. Which I would hope you don't.

They seem like a pretty good band, singing doesn't bother me. I wish the best of luck with them. I wouldn't bother buying any pedal unless you want it and think you really will use it. The biggest worry you should have is the band being a bunch of pricks.
