HelloA!

Well for any of you that checked out my last thread with the band's new track recording you will know that I messed up the masterring a bit. Well I've sorted that out and done some more production things to it.

We have a myspace now so please go check it out and tell me what you think! ;)

It's a lot better than before (I posted in the original thread, remember? ). All the instruments are equally volumised; that's not a word, and I still enjoy listening to it, despite the vocals. No disrespect. :D

Edit: There's a bit in the song where he says "you make me lose my faith", but when I first heard it, it sounded like he said "you make me lose my face". Ouch! :p

Hmm the singing is getting better! but it seems to me that he is trying to sing, but is afraid to hear himself too loud and when his words hit the mic and he hears them; he chokes.

Try to record him next time singing with a bit less gain? He is trying to sing at 100% but stops at 80%

pff.. I don't really know how to explain that, anyone care to back me up? :thumb:

Instrumentwise: Good! Nice groove and a catchy tune.
Vocalism: sorry, that brings the whole band down. Really.. do something about it.

EDIT:
With hearbleeder, he sings way better.. It doesn't sound like he's trying to sing at 100%, but only gets at 80%. You changed that recording? Last time I didn't liked it.. but now I actually enjoy it :p

With the new heartbleeder we recorded it with a professional producer (produced Jamiroquai & Shed 7) and had a top vocal mic where as Roxy we recorded it ourselves with a normal sm58 with a pop-filter infront of it. His vocals arent perfect yet but they are improving all the time, specially from the very first recordings.

I'll send it to ya in a sec...

Thanks for your comments by the way :thumb:

^^I see. Well it's way better right now! Keep him on track and it may get you somewhere! It has that typical 'britpop sound', which the world seems to adore at the moment. :thumb:

Try out a lot of things with his voice, maybe a different mic. Those can make a big difference. Our girlsinger was always singing through a sm58. But when she got herself a sm58 beta, you could actually hear how much better it sounded. Even when we were recording and had very good mic's around, they said: no, just use your own mic. It fits your voice perfectly.

Keep up the good work! Heartbleeder now deserves a place on my mp3player ;)

Pretty darn good stuff. Like many said, just work with the vocals a little bit.

Thanks dude :thumb: When we get the vocals right and how we want them to sound, yeah its what makes us that bit more different. Time will tell ;)

Yeah nice. I only listened for a minute so I'm not sure how valid my opinion is, but the only thing I would be concerned about is repetition. It seems like I was hearing the same part over and over again. But that part was good. Not a fan of the punk/pop ish genre but it was enjoyable. Keep up the good work :thumb:
