So, I was wondering if anyone heard of strings that were like ... gold.

I looked on google but I only found ones that were actually gold. But I mean ones that just look gold.

Like the DR black, red & blue strings ya know. But gold.

I have a Schecter Stiletto Elite & it has gold hardware so i thought it might look nice.

i was gonna say that as soon as i saw this. i just wonder what kinda tone they offer on an electric.

very similar i am sure, they work under the same premis as electric strings and they are made of bronze which would give a different tone as opposed to steel

Gold strings would look cool with the Jazzman with the gold hardware

My guess is they would be nickel then gold plated, maybe brass plated, but definently made of steel. I'd imagine they would be hell expensive if they were gold plated, cant really imagine much difference in tone.

No i doubt they'd change tone at all really, but hey nothing wrong with adding extra bling to your bass. :naughty:

3 string guitar, 2 string bass, no string drums.
I think they've only got one album, but i love all the songs on it.

No, it's fine, I don't even care about gold colored strings, too much thought.

But now that we're on this crap. What the hell is the point of a two string bass ? There must be one. I just really don't see it.

Its not really a bass. Its a guitar with 2 really heavy strings and tuned all weird.
Its more of a gimmick than anything.
Have you ever heard Presidents Of the United States of America? They invented them and they've got some really cool songs

I have. I've only head "Lump" though. Just a bunch of times.

I just don't look at any instrument & say. Damn. I wish that had less strings.

I don't mean to clump all Aussies together & be like, you know Tourettes ? haha.

That's like asking me if I know Blink-182.
